THE ROLE
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and motivated Mechanical Engineer to fulfil as an Consultant, to join our team in Sydney. The role will report to the Mechanical Team Leader and work alongside a small team of engineers & drafters in the delivery of both D&C and Full Design projects across a variety of project types.
Duties include design, equipment selection of consultant drawings, development of drawings and specifications, design calculations (heat load, FCUs/AHUs/Chilled Beams) as well as client liaison to write Reports, Due Diligence and CAPEX plans, Feasibility Reports, and business management.
The successful candicate will have manage Junior Mechanical Engineers, Drafters and must be able to lead small projects, and small delivery teams, communicating requirements and ideas clearly and concisely. The ideal role would also be able to coach juniors on a technical level.

THE TEAM
The Mechanical Team has is going through a transition of restructure and optimisation, and we have a strong demand for energetic, motivated Engineers looking to drive change in the industry is strongly desired. You will have the opportunity to work on all the landmark sites in Sydney CBD, and develop relationships with key stakeholders in the industry, and drive influence in the direction of the industry. We are looking for an individual who has a strong desire to drive change in the Building Services industry, and go the extra mile to provide quality service to our clients. RESPONSIBILITIES
-Client liaison with Project Managers, Building Porfolio Managers, Facilities Managers
-Design, tender, construction of new mechanical upgrades, partial upgrades
-Management of service maintenance scope, contract management, and stakeholder engagement
-Liaise with and chair meetings with Project managers, contractors, Facilities Managers, engineers and sub-contractors for successful and timely delivery of projects.
-Contacts and visits clients on existing projects. Exemplifies Intelle values and brand in own behaviour with external clients.
-Maintains Intelle profile as preferred consultants for projects by proactive thinking.
-Monitors project financials, resourcing of own projects, and manages fee variations with clients.
KEY SKILLS
-Demostrated experience in technical/engineering projects to successful completion
-Strong leadership and communication skills
-Outstanding technical abilities
-Demostrated technical understand of different mechanical systems, is able to design pipework, air schematics with ease, and explain technical problems to non-technical personnel.
-Building strong relationships with clients and industry stakeholders
-Commitment to quality and timely delivery of project deliverables
-Understanding NCC Standards, Australian Standards and relevant Codes of Practice
-Tertiary qualification in relevant engineering field (mechatronics, mechanical)
-Should have achieved Chartered Engineer, and National Engineers Register (NER) status
MUST have local relevant experience in a Design Role in Contracting or Consulting as an Mechanical Engineer.
