So, we are seeking a confident and enthusiastic person who share our values – Think Sharp, Dig In and Care - to join our high performing team. Reporting to the CHPP Senior Mechanical Engineer, this role will be responsible for providing technical advice in the mechanical engineering field and a high level of practical support to the operation, including the maintenance planning and execution functions.

ABOUT THE ROLE
• Reviewing and monitoring compliance to Mechanical Engineering Standards and Practices onsite including risk management of core
mechanical industry hazards.
• Ability to engage and consult internal and external stakeholders to facilitate problem solving.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of asset management aspects of plant and structures at the CHPP sites including coal
processing fixed plant, conveyors, crushing plant, screens, pumps and structures including train loading infrastructure and coal bins.
• Manage various sizes of capital and improvement projects including involvement in risk management, planning and commercial processes
as well as overseeing work scopes being completed.
• Drive safety standards and behaviours, be a positive leader and contribute to an effective & professional team environment.

ROSTER AND LOCATION
• Monday to Friday roster.
• Based on site at HVO (off Lemington Road)

ABOUT YOU
• Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering.
• Mechanical trade background is advantageous but not mandatory
• High level of motivation to deliver positive engineering outcomes with a practical approach.
• Sound understanding of legislation, mechanical engineering standards and industry best practice as it applies to mining work health and
safety.
• Promoting and maintaining a high level of positive safety performance and workplace culture through teamwork, personal commitment,
and application of the company values.
• Ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment in a high paced, large and dynamic operation.
• Sound problem solving, consultation and facilitation skills.
