About the role:
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef with expertise in viennoiserie to join our team on a full-time basis. As our Chef, you will play a key role in creating and executing our menu, ensuring that every dish meets our high standards of quality and taste. You will work closely with our kitchen staff to maintain a smooth and efficient operation, uphold food safety standards, and contribute to a positive team environment.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including breakfast items, viennoiserie, pastries, sandwiches, soups, salads, and desserts.
Develop and update menu offerings based on seasonal ingredients.
Supervise kitchen staff, including training new employees, delegating tasks, and maintaining a productive work environment.
Monitor inventory levels and place orders for ingredients and supplies as needed.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage procedures.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen and storage areas.
Collaborate with owners on menu planning for weekly and seasonal specials.
Uphold our commitment to delivering exceptional food quality and presentation to our customers.

About you:
Proven experience as a Chef in a similar role, with expertise in viennoiserie preparation, preferably in a café or patisserie environment.
Culinary certification or relevant training from a recognised institution.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, flavour profiles, and presentation.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Attention to detail and a passion for creating delicious experiences
Flexibility to work across a 7 day week including some 12:00am starts.
