Our client, New Millennium Tyre, is looking for a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic to work on a full-time basis. They deliver the best automotive service, ensuring that client’s automobiles are well-maintained and in good hands.
Located in Melbourne, Victoria, the business is a fully equipped automotive repair shop. Specialising in services on truck, trailer, and tyre repair. They guarantee quality craftsmanship and a positive customer experience.
Responsibilities:
• Identifying and diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues in engines and components.
• Removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering systems, and other parts, then inspecting them.
• Fixing and replacing worn or defective parts, reassembling mechanical components, and consulting service manuals when necessary.
• Completing routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune-ups, to ensure smoother vehicle operation.
• Reassembling engines and components after repairs are completed.
• Testing and adjusting repaired mechanical parts to ensure proper performance.
• Diagnosing using computers and testing parts.
• Responding to vehicle breakdown service calls.
• Maintaining records of serviced vehicles.
• Replacing steering mechanisms, brake systems, transmissions and whole diesel engines.
Qualifications:
• Must possess a Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology.
• At least three (3) years of relevant work experience.
Salary:
• $82,000 to $85,000 per annum plus superannuation.
