Position Overview:
The Employment Relations advisor will be responsible for managing employee relations issues and ensuring compliance with Australian employment laws and regulations. You will provide excellent quality advice to stakeholders and work collaboratively with the HR Business Partners to deliver proactive solutions. You will have a strong understanding of the Fair Work Act 2009, EAs, and EBAs, as well as demonstrated experience in investigating and responding to incidents. This role will involve working closely with management and employees to address workplace concerns, mediate disputes, and implement policies that promote a positive work culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert advice and guidance on employment relations matters, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and conflict resolution.
Ensure compliance with Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards (NES), and relevant awards and agreements.
Develop and implement employment policies and procedures that align with best practices and legal requirements.
Conduct investigations into workplace complaints and provide recommendations for resolution.
Support managers in handling performance management issues and employee development plans.
Facilitate training sessions on employment law, workplace behaviour, and conflict resolution.
Requirements:
Related tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Law, or a relevant field.
3-5 years of experience in employment relations or a similar role.
In-depth knowledge of Australian employment laws and regulations.
Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
