About The Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer with a robust background in Defence naval engineering and auxiliary systems to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in naval engineering and auxiliary systems, acquisition projects, and design concepts, with a deep understanding of naval ship designs. Experience with combat systems will be considered a plus. The successful candidate must also be well-versed in the systems engineering process.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and integration of mechanical and auxiliary systems for naval ships.
Manage acquisition projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and technical specifications.
Develop and review design concepts for naval engineering projects, ensuring compliance with Defence standards and regulations.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems with other shipboard systems.
