Gold Coast Electroplating are seeking experienced Metal Polishers and Electroplaters to join our professional staff on a full-time basis in our state-of-the-art facilities.
Duties & responsibilities:
Metal Polisher
Polish metal - steel, stainless steel, copper and brass
Prepare, clean, degrease, and polish substrates before plating
Conduct visual inspections for quality and identify defects and discrepancies
Assist in the chrome polishing shop
Assist in the general metal polishing shop when required
Electroplating experience would be an advantage but not mandatory
Electroplater
Maintain chrome electroplating line - complete daily inspections of the plant and work closely with Operations Manager to address any substandard performance
-Inspect all goods to be plated for any defects prior to plating
-Prepare goods for plating by racking those correctly prior to treatment
-Complete 3 step coating process independently and without supervision
-Inspect all goods upon completion of plating to ensure superior quality of the final finish
-Complete all of the above in a safe manner
-Assist in polishing room when requried
-Metal polishing experience would be highly regarded
Experience & attributes:
Must have either a relevant Certificate III in Engineering with at least two years of on-the job training or
Relevant Certificate IV or
A minium 3 years of relevant work experience
Successful candidates should have:
-Knowledge of safety protocols in electroplating environment
-Keen attention to detail
-Effective communication and collaboration skills with teammates
-Stamina and dexterity to handle repetitive tasks
