TÜV Rheinland Australia Pty Ltd was founded in 2007 and since then TÜV Rheinland Australia has been continuously growing its presence in Australia. The main business of Australia office is to provide testing, certification and inspection service for Electrical and electronic & Medical products.
We are seeking a testing engineer / project engineer with minimum 2-3 years’ experience in Testing or high voltage, Switchboard design and manufacturing industry to join our High power laboratory team, with attractive annual salary package depends on the candidate’s relevant experiences and knowledge.
The Role:
Reporting to Senior Project Engineer or Project Manager, you will be responsible for duties including:
• Review technical documents and initiate discussion with customers before and during testing.
• Prepare test plan, test set-up and conducting testing with test engineers and senior project engineer.
• Monitoring the performance of test engineers.
• Prepare test report after testing.
• Ensure the client’s order is fulfilled as agreed, accurately and within scheduled time.
• Support sales persons through asking and providing technical information required to undertake testing, inspection or certifications (TIC) in a timely manner.
• Timely schedule and deliver services according to customer requirements, quality documentation, work instructions and controlled documents and standards.
• Maintain awareness of calibration requirements and equipment.
• Maintain order and cleanliness of the work area.
• Understand the technical information needed and process to be able to make technical decisions to help advise sales staff and clients.
About You
To be successful in this position you will require the following skills/experience:
• A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical) or equivalent tertiary qualifications.
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in Switchboard design and manufacturing or testing industry.
• Having good understanding of power system analysis, principle of low voltage system, high-current protection device.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong project management skills in managing multiple small projects with short turnaround time.
• Able to work in a fast paced environment.
• Ideally familiar with product testing standard AS/NZS 61439 series, AS/NZS 60947 series, AS/NZS 60898 series, AS 60529 and AS/NZS 60269 series.
• Ideally having experience in product safety testing laboratory.
• Have practical, hands on approach.
