Your new role and how you’ll make a difference

As a Junior Product Manager, you will play a crucial role in assisting with the development and execution of our product roadmap. You’ll have the opportunity to be a bridge between our development team and the business stakeholders, responsible for defining and prioritizing the product backlog. 

Collaborating closely with the Senior Product Manager you will help develop, implement, monitor and support our Products.

The primary focus of the team is to maximise the value of the product roadmap by ensuring that we deliver high-quality features that align with customer needs and business goals. We love transforming product visions into actionable tasks and user stories.

Your strong communication skills and attention to detail will be essential to drive successful product development as this position works in partnership with a variety of stakeholders across the business - including Business Analysts, Project Managers, IT Developers, Sales, Data, Finance and Customer Support - to develop, implement, monitor and support of Products.
 

The value-add things you’ll be doing

Assist in managing the End-to-End Product lifecycle of key products, including:

  • Collaborate with Senior Product Managers to prioritise and actively manage the product backlog such that it aligns with the product roadmap.
  • Be an integral part of the delivery team and operate as the bridge between strategy and the day-to-day operations of the team.
  • Form strong collaborative relationships with members of the delivery team, namely engineering, design and QA to build and delivery high quality products and features on time and within budget.
  • Translate strategic priorities into logical product requirements, structuring requirements into the right epics and user stories for the delivery teams. Ensure product requirements include functional, technical, legal, regulatory, and content details.
  • Write best in class customer centric user stories clearly defining requirements and acceptance criteria which are easy to understand, enabling the development team to accurately build product functionality as well as help reduce development waste.
  • Stay up to date with latest developments in the financial services and technology space to identify and build innovative product solutions.
  • Ensure delivery team is optimally utilised and is maintaining high delivery velocity, resulting in improved effectiveness and efficiency of the team. 
  • Become an expert in the use of lean Discovery techniques to regularly gather customer feedback both to validate hypotheses and build product solutions. Operationalise frequent interactions with existing and prospective customers to prioritise product solutions that solve customer problems.
  • Create business cases to articulate the expected benefits and costs of proposed product roadmap items.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, showcase and daily standup to help the development team understand and commit to the work items for each sprint.
  • Be the primary point of contact for all product-related inquiries and clarifications from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Create, socialise and regularly manage/ update (after each release) product documentation, namely product descriptions, information manuals for internal & external stakeholders, product Q&A and training material.
  • Regularly communicate product updates, progress, and results to stakeholders and the broader organization.
  • Analyse and regularly report product performance and share insights with key stakeholders that help prioritise areas for improvement, inform future product decisions and ensure expected benefits are being achieved.
