The Agri Technician will be responsible for providing technical support for the cropping activities and will be required to work closely with the Farm Managers/Owners and Agronomists to achieve optimal farming outcomes.

Prepare the soil by ploughing, tilling, and adding necessary amendments to create an optimal planting environment.
Planting and Crop Establishment:
Participate in the planting of sugar cane crops, ensuring proper spacing and depth.
Ensure timely planting according to the farm's schedule.
Monitor seed quality and make recommendations for seed treatments if needed.
Irrigation Management:
Operate and maintain irrigation systems (furrow) to ensure the consistent supply of water.
Monitor soil moisture levels and adjust irrigation schedules accordingly.
Troubleshoot and repair irrigation equipment, as necessary.
Crop Maintenance:
Monitor crop health and identify pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies.
Implement pest and disease control strategies, including the application of pesticides or integrated pest management techniques.
Apply fertilizers and nutrients as needed to support crop growth.
Ensure proper weed control through various methods, such as herbicide application or manual removal.
Harvest Planning and Execution:
Collaborate with farm management to plan the timing and logistics of the sugarcane harvest.
