The Claims Assessment Branch (CABRA) works within the Client Benefits Division to meet the needs of DVA's clients in relation to compensation claims under the Veterans Entitlement Act 1986 (VEA), Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2004 (MRCA), and the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation (Defence-related Claims) Act 1988 (DRCA).The DVA Education Schemes provide financial assistance, student support services, guidance and counselling for eligible children to help them achieve their full potential in education or career training. The Education Schemes team is responsible decision making and processing of claims for clients, in line with relevant legislation and policies. They also manage work associated with in-bound phone calls, emails and client engagement. The Education Schemes team also coordinates the Long Tan Bursary, which provides funding to help eligible children
