The Claims Assessment Branch (CABRA) works within the Client Benefits Division to meet the needs of DVA's clients in relation to compensation claims under the Veterans Entitlement Act 1986 (VEA), Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2004 (MRCA), and the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation (Defence-related Claims) Act 1988 (DRCA). These Acts have a focus on providing services and compensation to help injured or sick personnel make as full a recovery as soon as possible and, if possible, return to their normal duties.
