The role will include assisting the workshop with metal fabrication repairs.
ABOUT THE POSITION The Welder-Metal Fabricator is responsible for manufacture and repair work on metal products and structures
Key responsibilities include: Ensure reactive and preventative maintenance, servicing and repair requirements are met in accordance with maintenance schedules Performing repairs and replace defective worn or metal parts Study blueprints/drawings and specifications for each job Dismantling and removing components, and checking parts Select, cut, clean and prepare metal for fabrication Mark out metal sections and cut using appropriate tooling Align joins, join metal sections using welding techniques, bolting and riveting Examine welds and clean, polish, file and acid bathing for finish Smooth and grind ...
