Guardian Fencing is seeking a skilled and experienced Welder to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. The Welder will be responsible for welding and assembling various fencing components, ensuring they meet rigorous standards of quality and safety.

Location: Oakleigh VIC
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary : $73,000 - $75,000 + Superannuation
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform welding and fabrication tasks as per project specifications and drawings.
• Assemble fencing components using various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding.
• Examine welds for width of bead, penetration, and precision.
• Repair broken or cracked parts, fill holes, and increase the size of metal parts.
• Maintain and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently.
• Set up components for welding according to specifications.
• Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools.
• Comply with all relevant safety regulations and company policies.
Requirements:
• A positive skills assessment from Trades Recognition Australia (TRA).
• Formal qualification (Certificate III or equivalent).
• At least three years of full-time (or equivalent part-time) paid employment as a welder.
• Full working rights within Australia.
• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and arc welding techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
