About the role:

We are looking for a Contracts Manager to supervise the creation, review and approval of all legal contracts across CDC. The incumbent will proactively anticipate, identify, analyse risks and report on the contractual obligations that can impact the business’ success. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring ongoing compliance of contracts and will oversee contractual amendments as required and to provide rigour to our contract-lifecycle management process. Contracts include but are not limited to Government Panel agreements, private enterprise agreements, procurement agreements, non-disclosure agreements and asset maintenance agreements.  


Key responsibilities include:

•      Conducts contract and subcontract formation and management activities on a range of contracts, from initial proposal through to delivery and closeout.

•      Point of contact for Government customer contracts, amendments and renewals. Support the Legal team to draft, review, and negotiate contracts, renewals and change orders.

•      Supports monitoring and compliance with contract requirements.

•      Negotiates a variety of contractual documentation with customers, working directly with the Sales and Customer Success Team.

•      Interacts with, confers, briefs, and makes recommendations to management regarding the progress and impact of potential contract and subcontract-related activities. Prepares contract and subcontract reviews and reports on issues.

•      Ensures contract and subcontract filing is managed effectively and meticulous records are kept.

•      Coordinates contract and subcontract requirements with all functional departments to ensure accuracy and compliance.

•      Observes all legal/ regulatory compliance requirements and practices for assigned responsibilities.

•      Remains current on legal/regulatory updates affecting contracts and agreements.

•      Manage the end-to-end contract-lifecycle process and lead the enhancement of standard operating procedures around contract governance.

•      Embrace and model CDC’s values.

•      Other duties as directed from time to time.

 

About you: 

•      5+ years’ demonstrated experience as a Legal Contracts Manager, experience with Government Panel arrangements, preparation of contract agreements, amendments and statements of work. 

•      Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

•      Demonstrable commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills.

 

Essential:

• Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain AGSVA Security Clearance at Negative Vetting 1 level.
