Tandoori Lovers Authentic Indian Restaurant in Ocean Grove, Victoria, is renowned for its flavorful and diverse Indian cuisine. Offering both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, the menu showcases a variety of traditional dishes. Customers appreciate the warm and inviting atmosphere, complemented by friendly service. The restaurant is a popular dining spot for locals and visitors from nearby areas like Barwon Heads and Geelong. Position: Chef
Salary Range: $73k - $80k plus superannuation
Location: Shop 7/63A The Terrace, Ocean Grove VIC 3226
Job Type: Permanent position, Full time. Must be available to work on weekends and public holidays.
Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
1. Proficiency in Indian culinary techniques.
2. Meticulously crafting all dishes.
3. Innovating and developing new recipes and menu items.
4. Adapting to customer preferences and ensuring dishes align with their tastes.
5. Following cooking guidelines and recipes for all signature dishes, maintaining food quality standards.
6. Organizing and preparing ingredients and materials for cooking.
7. Supervising kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
8. Training kitchen staff as needed.
9. Efficiently scheduling and managing kitchen personnel.
10. Managing kitchen orders through the docket system.
11. Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen workstation and facilities.
To be considered for this role, your key skills, attributes must include:
1. Relevant qualifications with at least 3 years professional working experience in Indian cooking.
2. Qualification must be Certificate IV or above
3. Ability to focus in a pressured environment and manage the team effectively.
4. Full working rights within Australia are mandatory.
