High level business operations: Two daughter’s cafe and bar is situated on a main street in St. Leonards on the Bellarine. This prime location is intentionally selected to appeal to families, business professionals and locals. This cafe features great coffee, light meals and homemade cakes with a welcoming main dining room, a vibrant bar area with variety of alcohol beverages, cocktails and relaxing outdoor patio. Our commitment to quality is evident in our supply chain. Our meat and other essential are obtained from reputable suppliers known for their quality and sustainability. The restaurant is open 7 days a week for breakfast and lunch and for dinner only on Saturday night. With the seating capacity of around 60 including outside, we ensure a comfortable and memorable dining experience for all our guests, whether they’re enjoying quick lunch, a leisurely dinner, or special events.

Ad wording: At busy restaurant in St. Leonards, we seek to employ a motivated and reliable fulltime chef to plan and organise the preparation and cooking activities while managing our kitchen’s staff, equipment, stock, budget and menus.

Responsibilities:
Managing a busy kitchen
Setting and updating menus and food pricing after approval from Restaurant Manager
Stock control
Ensuring adequate operations of kitchen equipment
Preparing standard recipes
Ensuring quality of all food items (raw or cooked) at all stages of storage, preparation, cooking and presentation
Rostering kitchen staff
Assist Restaurant Manager in hiring and training staff
Ensuring optimum hygiene standards are maintained
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Commercial Cookery/Trade Certificate
Available weeknights & weekends
Previous experience in a Chef/Cook role
Strong communication & people skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Possess a can-do attitude & able to work within a team
AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma with at least 1 year of verifiable work experience. At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications.
