Our esteemed partner, Major Furnace Australia Pty Ltd, is actively seeking a proficient Mechanical Engineering Technician to join their innovative team. Major Furnace Australia Pty Ltd is a company that provides engineering solutions. They specialize in furnaces, cremators, thermal and mineral processing, air pollution and dust control, refractory, hydraulics and lubrication. The company is located in Clayton VIC and has been in business for over 30 years. They have a team of experienced engineers and technicians who are dedicated to providing high-quality products and services. Major Furnace Australia Pty Ltd has a strong commitment to safety and the environment. They are members of the Australian Institute of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heating (AIRAH) and the Australian Institute of Engineering (IEAust). The details of the position are:

Position: Mechanical Engineering Technician
Location: 92 Fairbank Road Clayton South VIC 3169
Salary: $74k + superannuation

Roles and Responsibilities
1. Utilized Autodesk Vault, Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and equivalent 3D software for mechanical design, modeling, and simulation.
2. Analyzed work samples to develop standards for labor utilization, ensuring optimal workforce efficiency.
3. Developed production schedules for a group of production machines, coordinating operations to meet project deadlines.
4. Determined material quantities for projects and profile cut components using specialized computer software, ensuring accurate material procurement.
5. Recommended design modifications to eliminate errors in standard equipment and system malfunctions, improving overall efficiency.
6. Raised non-conformance reports and conducted root cause analysis by investigating failures, implementing corrective actions.
7. Organized the delivery of materials for procurement and completed products and components, streamlining the supply chain process.

To be Accepted for this role the candidate must fulfill the following requirements:
1. Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or related equivalent.
2. Two years of proven experience in the relevant field of mechanical engineering or related equivalent,
3. Proficient in computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant 3D software and engineering tools.
4. Solid understanding of engineering principles and industry best practices.
5. Effective communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
6. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality drafts.
7. Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
8. Full working rights in Australia is mandatory.
