Task & Responsibilities Examining dental patients, assessing conditions, and diagnosing disorders and diseases. Ordering diagnostic tests including x-rays, pathology tests, as well as prior medical history from medical practitioners, and interpreting results of tests to assist in diagnosis. Performing corrective and preventive procedures. Educating patients on oral health. Prescribing medications for oral/dental diseases. Performing dental surgeries such as extractions, root canal, repairing decay, and implanting various dental prosthesis such as crowns and implants. Assisting medical practitioners in medical diagnoses that are affected by dental diseases. Supervising work done by dental technicians/hygienists/assistants. Referring patients to Dental Specialists when needed Qualification & Experience Qualifications: Bachelor of Dental Science, Doctor of Dental Medicine, or an equivalent degree. General-Registered with AHPRA/DBA. Radiation Licence and relevant insurances. Work experience required: At least two years of post-qualification full-time experience.
