We seek to appoint an energised R&D Food Technologist to join our team. You must have a strong working knowledge of HACCP, Manufacturing Quality & OH&S Systems, and knowledge of accreditation systems. You will be a qualified Food Technologist with experience in a Flavour Industry Laboratory environment viewed favourably. Your ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the business is essential to the success of this role along with your can-do attitude and capacity to contribute to our team.
To be successful, you will demonstrate:
• Minimum qualifications of BSc Science or Food Technology
• Working understanding of Flavour R & D or Flavour Applications
• Understanding of GC-MS machine operation and result interpretation
• Strong working knowledge of BRC and HACCP
• Strong working knowledge about Halal and kosher requirements
• Knowledge of working in Manufacturing Quality & OH&S Systems
• Knowledge in accreditation systems
• Positive attitude and achievement motivated
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Flexible attitude
• Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
• Knowledge in developing new and improving existing products and sets standard for producing, packaging and marketing food
• Knowledge in experiments and tests to identify the chemical composition and reactive properties of natural substances and processed materials
• Knowledge in analysing and conducting research to develop theories, techniques and processes and testing the reliability under different conditions
• Ability to develop practical applications of experimental and research findings
• Strong knowledge in testing food flavour, colour, taste, texture and nutritional content
• Able to advise on preserving, processing, packaging, storing and delivering foods
