City Fertility is looking to hire a Medical Lab Scientist (Embryologist) in their Sydney CBD Clinic. This is a full-time position with annual earnings between $70,000 to $80,000 plus superannuation on offer depending on skills and experience.
The general duties will be as follows:
• Day to day laboratory operational tasks
• Perform and maintain competencies in:
? semen preparation, analysis and freezing
? embryo transfer
? ICSI and standard inseminations
? embryo cryopreservation, vitrification, assisted hatching and thawing
? embryo trophectoderm biopsy and cell tube transfer
• Provide quality patient services
• Communicate with patients, clinicians, managers and other departments
• Identify and retrieve oocytes
• Prepare media and assess culture of embryos
• Undertake embryo transfer, assess embryos for transfer or cryopreservation
• Undertake the safe transporting of gametes/embryos between storage locations
• Fulfil other duties as required by management
Qualification, skills and experience:
• Bachelor degree or higher qualification
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
• In depth understanding of Assisted Reproductive Technology
• Strong communication skills
• Customer Service
• Intermediate MS Word, Access, Excel and PowerPoint
• Capacity to undertake document/literature searches
• Good understanding of IVF Cycle types
