Job Description
Are you passionate about making a positive impact on people's lives and promoting independence within the community? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse individuals, supporting their needs and helping them access activities and outings in the community. You will be an essential part of promoting independence and enriching lives.

We are looking for qualified Disability Support Worker who can work within a dynamic and high performing environment.

Key duties will include but not be limited to:

• Provide direct support to individuals with disabilities, including personal care, social support, and assistance with daily living activities.
• Assessing client’s needs and co-ordinate support programs needed on a case-by-case basis.
• Provide general emotional support by talking to clients about their needs and listen to their concerns.
• Assisting clients in their personal and health care by providing support with medication ensuring correct dosages as prescribed, seizure response, and health needs.
• Interviewing clients or relatives to understand the extent of support needed.
• Plan and implement socially inclusive programs and projects for the betterment of clients.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with organizational and legislative requirements.
• To be aware of safe working condition and implement secure working practices in all work areas and report potential hazards, incidents and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
• Facilitate and promote the participation of service users in community activities and events.
• Monitoring and reporting the progress of clients.


Key Requirements
• 2-3 years of relevant experience in the same field is required.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Adopts a flexible and dynamic approach to working hours.
• Utmost priority to professionalism.
• Experience in community participation, skill building, vocational preparation, and relationship building
• Familiarity with NDIS Code of Conduct and guidelines.
• Excellent record-keeping skills and the ability to monitor and report on client’s progress.


Salary
• $70000 to $73150 per year salary annually exclusive of superannuation
