Due to its expanding business, Horsham Hydraulics is currently looking for a qualified Welder (First Class) – ANZSCO code 322313 to join its busy workshop team.

Annual salary : Base annual salary of $75,088 p.a. ($38/hr) excluding superannuation
Work location : 84 Golf Course Road, Horsham, Victoria 3400
Work hours : 38 ordinary hours per week (permanent, full-time basis) plus any additional overtime hours as required
POSITION SUMMARY
A Welder fabricates and repairs metal products using various welding techniques. They undertake welding fabrication in a workshop and onsite.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure safe working practices at all times by adhering to all Horsham Hydraulics policies and procedures including OHS.
Weld and fabricate steel, stainless steel and aluminum.
Shape and bend metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, and by heating and hammering.
Use presses, guillotine, rollers, welders, saws, lathes, drill presses, power tools and hand tools.
Join metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting and riveting.
Undertake confined space and work at height work
Ensure a clean, tidy and orderly work area by assisting with packing up tools and equipment and with turning off equipment and placing vehicles inside shed at end of work day.
Sometimes required to stay overnight when working away
Working indoors and outdoors
Working in hot/dry and cold/wet conditions
Use of forklift
Work overtime and weekends where required

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Certificate III in engineering fabrication, knowledge and experience in engineering / fabrication.
POSITION EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Proven experience in a manufacturing workshop environment
Show evidence of a background knowledge in the manufacturing industry
Sound knowledge of workshop processes and procedures
