Point Force Carpentry are seeking Qualified Carpenters for full time work around Melbourne City and Outer Suburbs.
Our work is mainly high-end renovations and new builds, so experience in that field is preferred.
We have great work relationships with some of Melbourne’s top high end home builders, so we expect our carpenters to be respectful, understanding of deadlines and have a great working attitude
Applicants must have a good knowledge of all aspects of carpentry, be well presented, punctual, have good communication skills, be able to work in team environments and on their own when required
You must have:
• White card
• Own tools
• Reliable transport
• Two years post apprenticeship experience
Tasks/duties:
• Construct, install, renovate and repair structures made of wood and other materials
• Read and interpret working drawings to determine materials required, dimensions and installation procedures.
• Cut, assemble and install required materials on site.
• Erect timber framework, roof framing, install subfloors and verifying trueness of structures
• Nailing fascia panels, fitting exterior wall cladding and door and window frames.
• Assembling cut wood to form structures and fittings ready to install.
• Measuring and installing skirting, architraves and sills.
• May repair existing fittings
• May work with plastic laminates, perspex and metals
