About the program
EACH is proud to be the Lead Agency of the Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs, and Suicide Prevention (MHAODSP) program, a new initiative delivering comprehensive, integrated, and person-centred care across the CCQ region (Central Queensland, Wide Bay, Sunshine Coast). 

Collaborating with 9 partnering organisations, the aim of this service is to address service gaps by enhancing accessibility and integrating primary mental health care, AOD, psychosocial support, and early intervention and prevention through a multidisciplinary, person centred model of care. About the role
As General Manager, you'll be at the helm of this transformative program. You will lead a consortium of nine dynamic partners, ensuring seamless collaboration and alignment towards our shared goals. Your responsibilities will span from strategic oversight and governance to operational excellence and stakeholder management. You'll oversee project planning, risk management, and financial stewardship, driving forward our commitment to high-quality, accessible care.

Key Deliverables:

  • Foster effective collaboration and alignment among partners
  • Chair the Consortium Governance Group to uphold accountability and strategic direction
  • Develop and implement plans to achieve KPIs, ensuring budget compliance and high-quality outcomes
  • Cultivate positive relationships with stakeholders, ensuring their needs are met and understood
  • Lead timely and accurate reporting to funders and stakeholders, showcasing project impact and achievements
  • Provide direction and support to a multidisciplinary team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment

About you
You’re an experienced leader with a robust background in senior management, ideally within consortium or partnership settings. Your extensive knowledge of mental health, alcohol and other drugs, and psychosocial support enables you to navigate complex challenges with sensitivity and insight. Your exceptional communication skills allow you to engage diverse stakeholders empathetically and clearly. With strong financial acumen and outstanding organizational abilities, you effectively allocate resources and deliver projects within tight timelines.

Dedicated to cultural safety and trauma-informed care, you advocate for a person-centred approach that values diversity and inclusivity across all service provisions. Your qualifications, skills, and experience include:

  • A Bachelor's degree in health management services, business, management, or related fields, or equivalent experience
  • Strong leadership and management skills to inspire teams towards common goals
  • Understanding of policy and funding environments related to mental health and AOD services
  • Demonstrated expertise in contract and risk management within health services
