The Irish Times Pub offers a warm, relaxed, and friendly atmosphere to dine in. The ambiance – genuine Irish-style wrap-around bars, traditional dark wood interiors, cozy fireplaces, beautiful stained glass windows, and rugby memorabilia, is reminiscent of classic pubs in Ireland.
A great place for a pint of Guinness, The Irish Time Pub has a variety of authentic Irish and Aussie pub food to relish – Steak, Stew, Beef & Guinness Pie, Parma, Seafood, Burger, Ribs, etc. Our drinks menu offers an extensive range of beers on tap including Kilkenny, Stella, and Heineken along with an array of spirits and quality wines.
We are seeking a dynamic, creative, and career-focused Chef for our Kitchen team.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assisting the Head Chef with some of the ideas for the weekly Specials.
• Generating employee schedules, and work assignments and determining appropriate compensation rates along with Head Chef.
• Performing Weekly stock checks and inventory
• Preparing and cooking menu items including entrees and mains.
• Preparing and cutting the vegetables and meat prior to the opening hours.
• Prepare meals as customers required and meet the customer’s expectations.
• Ordering, receiving, and storing stock deliveries as per Food safety guidelines – Fresh Veg, meat, dry foods
• Preventing cross-contamination from utensils, surfaces, and pans when cooking and plating meals for food allergy sufferers.
• Maintaining the required temperature of the cool room always ensuring the best storage of food items
• Ensuring the usage of ovens, grills, flat-top grills, microwaves, and other cooking equipment following the kitchen’s standard cooking procedures.
• Complying with Health and Safety regulations to ensure a safe workplace and maintain hygiene in the kitchen.
• Carry out other activities as requested by the Head chef.
• Always keep up to date with the manager and another staff member regarding all matters related to the venue and functions

For this awesome opportunity you will need:
• Having 4 years of relevant experience in a busy restaurant will be highly preferred.
• A trade certificate in commercial cookery and Advanced Diploma in Hospitality Management.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Adherence to OH&S and Food Safety regulations.
• Fantastic communication skills.
• Creative skills to create and suggest new recipes.
• Sound understanding of food safety regulations.
• Availability 7 days a week including days/nights/weekends/split shifts and public holidays.
