Our Bistro 1925 and Poppy Café are in Cabra-Vale Diggers Club. Our Grange Buffet and Sports Café are in Blacktown Workers Sports Club. We are open 7 days a week offering lunch and dinner. The Bistro 1925 offers a new Mediterranean-inspired culinary style. The Grange Buffet offers a variety of cuisine from around the globe, including Australian, Asian, and European.
Your responsibilities:
Design and create menus that reflect the restaurant's concept and culinary style
Update and modify menus seasonally to incorporate fresh, local ingredients and trends
Develop daily or weekly specials to keep the menu exciting and engage customers
Oversee the preparation and presentation of food to ensure high-quality and consistency
Implement and maintain standards for food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness
Manage kitchen staff, including cooks, sous chefs, and dishwashers
Train and mentor kitchen staff to maintain high standards of cooking and presentation
Create staff schedules to ensure adequate kitchen coverage and manage labor costs
Requirements:
2-year work experience as a chef, sous chef, or in a similar kitchen leadership role
Strong culinary skills and creativity in menu development
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen safety protocols
Cantonese & Mandarin Speakers Preferred
