Charcoal Plus Pty Ltd trading as Nieo’s Grille is looking for a full time Chef to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment and must be able to work independently as well as within a team. The correct candidate will receive a salary of $75,000 + 10.5% superannuation.
Daily responsibilities include:
• Create and update menu in consultation with head chef based on customers’ preferences.
• Estimate food cost and portion control food.
• Minimise wastage.
• Train cooks and kitchen hands in food preparation, presentation, and preservation
• Supervise other staff members during all stages of food preparation.
• Implement diverse and high standards food types.
• Assist in creating and crafting seasonal menus.
• Following established procedures to ensure high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen.
• Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.
Mandatory requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of food and nutrition desirable but not essential
- Relevant qualification and/or experience.
- Good communication skills
- Leadership and time management skills
- Attention to details
- Ability to work well in team and in fast-paced environment.
