Position: Accountant
Salary: $75,000 plus 11.5% super
Hours: 38 hours
Mode: Full time
Location: 19 Rocco Drive, Scoresby 3179 VIC
Experience required: Minimum 2 years’ experience in relevant roles

Given our rapid growth, we are currently looking for an experienced Accountant to play a critical role in our growth story. This is a wonderful opportunity for confident & engaging professionals to work in our close-knit, vibrant & growing team.

Tasks and Responsibilities included but not limited to

? Maintain the records for all Sales and Purchases, Payroll, and other financial transactions across all the business operations
? Assist with the preparation of the monthly cash flow forecast, supporting analysis and reconciliations, for inclusion within the Finance report
? Manage and supervise the payroll data to ensure weekly payroll
? Responsible for preparing and forecasting a budgetary plan for the business and coordinating with the management to ensure compliance to the budget
? Assisting in the preparation of Business Activity Statements and Financial Statements of the business while adhering to all business and statutory requirements
? Conduct investigations, undertake financial audits, prepare reports, and report to the Director of any anomalies observed for the business
? Representing the business to all financial institutions and government organizations for accounting and financial purposes
? Plan for & provide systems for financial dealings within the organization as well as monitoring the operating costs of the business to identify savings while implementing technology to advance business practices
? Responsible for updating and maintaining control systems for the organization and complying with the individual reporting requirements of each customer, while keeping the management UpToDate with developments and action items
? Actively participating and advising on any capital investment purchases
? Evaluate the performance of all assets of business while ensuring precision of operational as well as financial reports
? Collaborating with various departments to work on various accounting projects
? Completion of month-end procedures, including preparing general journals and depreciation schedule for assets using spreadsheets and database tools to assist in financial record keeping

QUALIFICATIONS
? Bachelor and master’s degree in accounting
? Excellent use of Word, Excel, outlook, Xero and MYOB


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
? Ability to maintain up to date knowledge of taxation and other relevant legislation
? Ability to accurately interpret taxation and other relevant legislation and rulings
? Excel in Accounting software to manage the pricing of voice and data solutions
? Knowledge in all regulatory requirements specific to the communications industry in addition to the standard corporate compliance requirements
? Strong communication skills both within the department and with other business stakeholders
? Excellent knowledge of accounting procedures and previous experience with industry accounting
