- Experienced Welder (First Class)

Australian Concrete Posts, established in 2013, is one of the largest manufacturers of prestressed concrete fence posts in Australia. ACP supply consistent quality prestressed concrete fence posts that suit both the traditional and the contemporary rural agricultural fences, as well as civil projects, like rail and roads.
They are currently looking for an experienced Welder (First Class) to join their team in Dungarubba, NSW.
Key duties and responsibilities include:
- Adhere to OH&S regulations and guidelines to maintain a clean and safe working environment, including wearing protective clothing;
- All areas of fabricating and repairing metal products using various welding techniques;
- Correct finishing of all welds and metals by cleaning, polishing, filing and bathing in acidic solutions to ensure quality of manufacturing, welding and repair;
- Cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches and metal cutting machines;
- Efficient use of tools and cutting machines, including TIG/MIG welder, CNC plasma cutting and programming;
- Examine welds for width of bead, penetration and precision;
- Joining metal sections using various welding techniques, including bolting and riveting;
- Reading and interpreting manufacturing drawings and specifications to determine job requirements;
- Select and prepare metal stock for projects as required;
- Use heat and hammering to shape, bend and join metals effectively and neatly.
To be considered you will need a relevant Certificate III or higher qualification and at least two years of relevant post-qualification employment experience OR at least three years of relevant employment experience as a Welder.
This is a full time position with an immediate start available. A remuneration package of $74,000 - $80,000 will be offered to the successful candidate.
