Job summary
DBT data engineer for implementing and building Risk data lake from differentsources integrating them based on requirements of the business and providing datafor reporting.
About the role
Collating and understanding business requirements of the client andperforming a feasibility discussion.
Coordinating with the Data modelling team through specificationwalkthroughs and discussions to ensure the DBT data engineers have anunderstanding of the data logics that correspond to the business logicsbefore proceeding with development.
DBT project implementation and design while providing best practicessolutions keeping in mind current and future requirements
Creating and developing various DBT solutions, which include DBT models,macros and projects.
Creating test scripts to test solution quality of the models. This includesautomated test scripts on DBT or manual Unit testing.
End to end testing of the DBT solution on Google Cloud Platform andinvolvement in providing support and fixing defects that arise with the DBTsolution.
Involvement in Design, Implementation and development of DAGs forComposer, which is used for DBT orchestration.
Performing constant code reviews while establishing the ‘DBT Best Practices’and plan for continuous improvement of processes.
Ongoing trainings and mentoring on the DBT solutions to new teammembers from multiple teams who are working on DBT implementation.
Contribute to team efforts with value adds such as DBT best practice, codequality, SQL script performance tuning along with analysis, review and raisedefects of developed code in a team setting to better overall projectperformance
Perform production releases in a timely manner with very little to nodowntime. Improve the process with automation with every release cycle.

A$90,000/yr - A$110,000/yr
