The Role
Due to several new projects we have an opportunity for a Radio Communications Technician to join our team located at our Head Office in Virginia.
Responsibilities
Assemble, complete and test electronic/radio communications equipment
Ensure timely supply of any componentry which may be required
May also require some travel to sites to assist with any installation/testing work
To generally assist with anything necessary to complete customer requirements.
Fault finding and repair of Electronic Communications equipment
Upgrade of componentry of communications equipment
Inventory management including Stock transfers, stock movements & PO shipment returned stock
Maintaining accurate records of all tested equipment
Liaising with Purchasing Department on the acquisition of goods for nonmanufactured parts
Liaising with Sales Department on the acquisition of goods for shipping manufactured parts
Experience/Qualifications
Electronics Technician Diploma or relevant experience
Experience or Major in Radio Communications
Minimum 2 years work experience
Competent in Office applications such spreadsheet and word processing
Accurate recording/data entry
Good planning, time management, and organisational skills with the ability to multitask
Team members must fulfill the following criteria:
Be physically fit and have the ability to undertake manual handling duties
Punctual
Able to work in a team and keep pace with team members
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail with strong organisational and administrative skills
Word & Excel experience advantageous
Ability to work autonomously
Ability to recognize, analyse and resolve faults
Strong team player
Conscientious worker that is focused on meeting deadlines with a high degree of accuracy
Prior experience an important advantage
Ability to multitask, manage and maintain various role functions simultaneously
