An exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Management Accountant to join our Television Finance team at Nine. Reporting to the Finance Manager – Local Productions, you will be pivotal in ensuring the financial health of your designated programs and will play a key role in enhancing our finance and business partnership across the programming space. Local Productions include Nine’s internally produced programs (including The Block, Travel Guides) and external programs (including MAFS, Lego Masters).
You will:
Undertake monthly reviews of departmental and program expenses, and analyse variances against the budget and forecast for both P&L departments and WIP projects
Develop precise annual departmental and program budgets, covering all essential costs including salaries, production costs and internal resources
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, including program and property WIP accounts
Prepare and present monthly departmental management accounts and program cost reporting to department heads and key users of financial information
Undertake monthly expenditure forecasts, for both P&L departments and WIP projects
Provide explanation of variances to budget, including headcount analysis
Undertake weekly and monthly cash flow reporting and coordination with Accounts Payable
Obtain expenditure approval, including petty cash and debit card reconciliations and journals
Business partner with Production Staff to support with program budgets, reporting, talent payments and analysis
