Benefits An attractive salary (commensurate with experience) Continuous professional development opportunities Annual study leave, allowances, and AVA registration Supportive and collaborative work environment Company vehicle and mobile phone Comprehensive health and wellness programs Work-life balance with flexible scheduling options Task & Responsibilities Diagnose, treat, and manage a wide variety of equine health issues, including emergencies, surgeries, and preventative care Perform diagnostic tests such as radiographs, ultrasounds, and laboratory analysis Develop and implement treatment plans for equine patients, including medication administration, surgery, and other therapeutic procedures Provide expert advice to horse owners on nutrition, breeding, and general care Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with relevant health regulations Collaborate with other veterinary professionals and staff to ensure the highest standards of care Participate in continuing education and stay updated with the latest advancements in equine veterinary medicine Educate and mentor junior veterinarians and veterinary students Start the day in Flemington before traveling to clients on the Mornington Peninsula Qualification & Experience Degree in Veterinary Science (DVM or equivalent) from a recognized institution Current registration with the Veterinary Practitioners Registration Board Minimum of 3 years of experience in equine veterinary practice Proficient in diagnosing and treating a broad range of equine health conditions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Confident and motivated individual Current Victorian driver’s license Available for weekend work Commitment to ongoing professional development and education About Company Berwick Equine, Based on the Mornington Peninsula, is renowned for providing high-quality Equine veterinary services throughout Victoria.
