OVERVIEW:
Ivers Civil Contractors is looking for a skilled and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our team. As a Motor Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance across our fleet. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles, ensuring they are safe and running efficiently.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Vehicle Diagnostics: Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics to identify issues and faults in vehicles.
• Repairs and Maintenance: Perform repairs, replacements, and maintenance tasks on various vehicle components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems.
• Routine Maintenance: Execute routine vehicle maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
• Parts Procurement: Identify and order necessary parts and components for repairs or replacements.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure that all repaired vehicles meet safety and environmental standards.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of repairs, services, and parts used.
• Quality Control: Ensure the quality and accuracy of all repairs and services performed.
• Tools and Equipment: Properly use and maintain tools and equipment in the workshop.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum AQF Certificate IV plus Minimum 3 years’ proven experience as a Motor Mechanic.
• Knowledge of automotive systems and technology.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail. Proficiency with automotive repair tools and equipment.
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
