The Opportunity
The Technical Business Analyst is primarily responsible for understanding the business objectives and translating them into technical requirements. Working with multiple teams across the business, this role is responsible for translating stakeholder objectives into technical requirements, help articulate business value, assist in identifying solution options including pros-cons for each, support prioritisation and ensure that the changes and impacts are understood by the affected parties.
Responsibilities of this role include (but are not limited to):
- Conduct analysis of business issues, technical challenges and help articulate business impact and value
- Partner with key technical stakeholders to identify solution options, articulating pro-cons for each and assist in designing solution architecture.
- Work closely with business stakeholders and partner stakeholders in defining and mapping business process, also help them in prioritisation based on business impact and value
- Distill requirements into succinct scenarios (user stories) with acceptance criteria and validation rules
- Coordinate and assist with User Acceptance Testing for technical implementations
- Support change management activities - Work with Power Users to develop user support guidelines and documentation to ensure processes are followed correctly and data integrity is maintained
- Contribute to the assessment of integrating third-party applications into existing systems
- Support Delivery Lead in conducting Agile rituals effectively and also provide relevant information required for project management and governance
- Promote Agile ways of working and help team in improving their understating of agile methodology
This is a 6 month fixed term contract with view to extension.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Strong and demonstrated skills in business process analysis and mapping
- Experience with Salesforce Administration highly regarded
- Strong understanding and knowledge of SDLC within an Agile environment
- Sound knowledge in maintenance and access to data and information, including the ability to identify, design, extract, and report on complex datasets, with a good understanding of SQL and relational data structures
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of configuration and coding practices of SaaS systems, ideally including AWS and Salesforce modules.
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, operate autonomously with little direction as well as see the big picture
- Exceptional team player with a willingness to perform tasks outside their role when required
- Demonstrate initiative, flexibility and an ability to work under pressure
- Experience liaising with vendors and external organisations
- Familiarity with information management applications
- Experience in education sector and understanding of student lifecycle will be advantageous
- Relevant certification in Agile methodology and demonstrable experience agile ways of working is high desirable
