Sikh Volunteers Australia ( https://sikhvolunteersaustralia.org/ ) is a non-profit organisation serving free vegetarian meals to needy people. The organisation is looking for an experienced full-time Chef to cook the dishes independently and bring our kitchen to a new level.
The candidate must have experience cooking Indian vegetarian curries, adequate skills and knowledge of food safety, and the ability to complete monitoring forms as required. Being punctual, reliable, and able to work well within the fantastic small team is a must.
Your duties and responsibilities include:
• Preparing the food for cooking and supervision
• Reviewing the menu and doing inventory
• Monitoring food production and costs
• Manage online/phone orders
• Manage packaging of the cooked food.
• Stock ordering and Managing
• Keeping up with industry regulations
• Specializing in cooking Indian Curries.
• Be available both days at weekends.
• Working Hours: 10 am – 6 pm.
• Have at least one year of experience as a Cook or Chef.
• Must have Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery. A diploma in hospitality management would be an advantage.
Pay $70,000-$85,000
