A growing diversified mining company is looking for a Senior Site Accountant to manage the finance function for one of their mine sites based in the Darling Downs Region. Would suit someone based out of Toowoomba or Dalby or anywhere in that region.
The Role
This role is well suited someone with solid experience in Mining, Energy or similar asset intensive industries such as farming or manufacturing.
You will act as the 2IC to the Commercial Manager and lead every aspect of financial and management accounting for the site.
This role could be a pathway role into the Commercial Manager position.
You will be responsible for a range of duties including but not limited to:
Managing financial accounting, forecasting, and reporting for effective financial management
Serving as a strategic partner to the Operations Manager and leadership team
Offering detailed reports to support informed decision-making
