About the role
We are looking for an Actuarial Consultant with experience in technical actuarial work and a passion for data, to deliver actuarial services to clients in the financial services and life insurance industry. The successful candidate will have significant experience working on projects both in Australian and overseas along with strong consulting skills.
The role requires strong focus on effective communication with clients and internal management, including translating technical analysis and complex systems for business consumption, to ensure well-informed decision making and successful outcomes. It also entails collaboration and support of Dataly Actuarial's own programs, systems and tools.
You would also collaborate with Dataly Actuarial team members on common and different works, and actively contribute your own and Dataly Actuarial team's professional development with updates of knowledge, technologies and advancements in the data, financial services and life insurance industries.
Proficiency and experience in actuarial and finance work, such as valuation, pricing, experience investigations, reporting, are highly desirable. Professional integrity, service standards and risk management aligning to best practice is essential.
Description/Duty Details:
You will be required to peform the following tasks
• Perform analysis on technical actuarial matters including valuation, pricing and experience analysis
• Run client engagements coordinating delivery
• Extract, cleanse, and perform analysis on various datasets
• Run actuarial models and extract results
About you
Prerequisite is the rights to live and work in Australia.
• Actuarial Tertiary degree with advanced progress towards FIAA qualification (or equivalent)
• 2-3 years' work experience in the Financial Services or Life Insurance Industry with strong experience working on projects both In Australia and overseas
• Knowledge and competency of actuarial techniques and life insurance regulatory framework
• Experience in extracting, cleansing, and analysing data
• Experience with Data Visualisation tools, advantageous
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Acts professionally, ethically and with integrity, leading by example
• Attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Flexible, proactive and collaborative attitude
