We currently have an unprecedented opportunity for an experienced and dynamic leader to join Minor Hotels as our Group Director of Property.
In this newly created position, you will play a crucial role in advancing growth strategies and developing strategic plans for our asset portfolio. You will be tasked with spearheading growth initiatives, analysing market dynamics, and pinpointing lucrative opportunities within our property sector.
Additionally, you will oversee multiple departments, including our Owners team, MINT Residential/ Permanent Rentals team, Property Sales (including Build to Rent), and Facilities Management/ MLR, ensuring smooth operations and strategic alignment across all divisions.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Departmental Management of the Owners Department, MINT Residential, Property Sales Department and Facilities Management and MLR, providing guidance, coaching and mentoring
- Develop and implement growth strategies in alignment with property and acquisition pipeline, including pursuing new business leads
- Monitor sales, leasing and property management trends and market conditions to identify opportunities and risks
- Develop tailored strategies to maximise the performance and profitability of the respective departments, identifying areas for improvement and providing guidance and support to improve performance
- Collaborate with the senior management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, framework, processes (including policies and procedures), and personnel, designed to accommodate the growth objectives of the organisation
- Negotiate and execute a variety of property agreements, ensuring compliance with contract terms, operational best practices and relevant state legislation
- Oversee compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to the property department (including all licensing requirements, trust accounting laws and ensuring the correct forms are utilised)
- Develop and maintain effective communication channels with all areas within the business, and ensure all key stakeholders (Executive Committee, MINT Residential Team, Owners, Relevant Building Managers, Head Office etc) are kept informed of key developments.
