The Opportunity
Come and discover the opportunity to join our Western Sydney Service Centre Team at our Erskine Park Manufacturing facility as a Manufacturing Scheduler. As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, we will have 2 manufacturing line at our Erskine Park facility we have six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla that deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers.
Based in Erskine Park, Springhill, you will be in a key role that impacts the safety of our people as well as the quality of our products. You will lead and support all matters relating to production scheduling and achieve smooth operations for our plant. You will achieve this by managing a team of 4 schedulers and by driving collaboration with our operations team to support the day to day scheduling of our product and transportation.
What Will You Do?
Partnering closely with our unit production and logistics teams, you will lead and support the scheduling function and ensure product is delivered on time to our valued customers. A natural problem solver and a drive for continual improvement and delivery, you will:
- develop daily and weekly flow plans across all Western Sydney production units to maximise delivery performance to our customers.
- work closely with Fulfilment, Customer Service, Operations, Transport to co-ordinate critical customer supply requirements and support achieving utilisation targets for all production units.
- identify opportunities within our logistics operation to improve efficiency, with a firm focus on delivering outstanding service to our clients.
- utilize our planning and scheduling systems and actively seek out continuous improvement initiatives.
- managing procurement of consumables for the Western Sydney production unit.
More About You
You will have previous manufacturing / logistics / supply chain experience. You take a consultative and supportive management approach but can be decisive when required.
Ideally you will possess the following attributes:
