Details: The Circle Courts within the ACT Magistrates Court aim to provide culturally appropriate, restorative and effective sentencing options for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander defendants. The Circle Courts recognise and draw upon the ongoing strengths of Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander peoples, communities, and organisations in seeking to address offending behaviour through a culturally sensitive process.
ACTCT are seeking a passionate and experienced person who has a deep understanding of the factors contributing to over representation of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people in the criminal justice system and experience in responding within a trauma-informed, culturally considered, and restorative approach.
