One of the largest firming organization in South Australia is looking for an experienced, skilled Welder/Metal Fabricator to join their successful team in Virginia South Australia.The role will include assisting the workshop with metal fabrication repairs.ABOUT THE POSITIONThe Welder-Metal Fabricator is responsible for manufacture and repair work on metal products and structures.Key responsibilities include:Ensure reactive and preventative maintenance, servicing and repair requirements are met in accordance with maintenance schedulesPerforming repairs and replace defective worn or metal partsStudy blueprints/drawings and specifications for each jobDismantling and removing components, and checking partsSelect, cut, clean and prepare metal for fabricationMark out metal sections and cut using appropriate toolingAlign joins, join metal sections using welding techniques, bolting and rivetingExamine welds and clean, polish, file and acid bathing for finishSmooth and grind welds as appropriateQualifications required:* Experience within a similar role*Qualified mechanic (AQF certificate III or equivalent)*At least 2 years of fulltime experience*Have a good ...
