We are looking for a Operational Risk and Compliance Lead to support the development, implementation, and change management to embed Cuscal's operational risk management and compliance frameworks to ensure compliance with APRA CPS 230 requirements.
The Operational Risk and Compliance Lead will provide risk and compliance expertise and oversight, ensuring solutions are sustainable and efficient to maintain. Reporting to the Head of Operational Risk and Compliance, the Operational Risk and Compliance Lead will be the primary contact to ensure correct design and embedment of risk policies and procedures and a key conduit to the operational risk and compliance team.
The key responsibilities of the role are:
Provide subject matter expertise and insights on day-to-day risk and compliance design and implement deliverables and contribute to the project’s success
Act as a primary contact between the CPS230 project teams and Line 2 to deliver on risk and compliance milestones within timeframes
Lead the appropriate design, documentation and implementation of risk and compliance policies, methodologies, taxonomies, risk and control libraries, procedures, templates and tools
Ensure risk management policies, procedures and practices are integrated across different framework components such as risk assessment, control management, incident and issues management, ongoing monitoring and assurance, and reporting.
Actively participate in, and contribute risk and compliance expertise to, consultation and education sessions with stakeholders
Prepare risk and compliance artefacts as required, including consultation materials on risk and compliance better practices, policy setting, methodology and approach.
Review and challenge project deliverables to ensure satisfactory quality and compliance with risk and compliance framework requirements.
Support business units in their understanding, identification, and management of operational risks.
Engage with other Risk and Compliance team members throughout the project to seek input and achieve alignment in risk and compliance framework requirements.
Conduct change management activities including business impact assessments, consultation, communication and awareness sessions, and training with the project team and internal stakeholders.
Facilitate the mapping of risks, business operations and controls Assist in the assessment, influencing and monitoring of risk culture.
About You
To be successful in this position you will have the following skills and experience:
7+ years of experience in operational risk management within the finance and banking industry
Solid understanding of relevant industry codes, standards, regulatory obligations, and APRA prudential requirements, particularly CPS230, and CPS 220, 231 & 232.
Risk management experience in business resilience, vendor management and Business continuity management.
Operational experience in a Banking or Payment Services environment is preferred.
Prior experience with developing and/or implementing risk and compliance frameworks
Experience in delivering risk transformation changes and initiatives
Proficient in executing change management activities
