The Purpose:
This position will play a key role in modernising, securing, and shaping the future of our infrastructure and ensuring it continues to meet the business needs.
They will work and collaborate closely with the engineers within the team and other business units within the division. The role also includes responsibilities to assist with conducting technical reviews for new and ongoing tactical and strategic initiatives.
Primary Accountabilities, Duties and Responsibilities:
- First responder to cloud-related availability, security incidents and service requests.
- Automate and maintain operations in cloud-based environments using IaaC.
- Run and uplift CI/CD pipelines.
- Create and maintain operations and how-to documentation.
- Collaborate with team members on the enhancement and uplift of new features.
- Evolve the platform in-line with developments and changes to cloud-based capabilities and services.
- Identify technology improvement and transformation opportunities to enhance customer service, reduce operating costs, and maximise the speed of implementation.
- Liaise with security team members to ensure the platform is secure.
- Addressing identified security vulnerabilities in a proactive and timely manner.
We'd love to hear from you if have:
- Broad IT technical skills with at least 2+ years’ experience in a similar role.
- Experience in supporting a major Cloud provider such as AWS (preferred), GCP, Azure
- Experience in Cloud networking such as VPC, NACL, Security Group, Firewalls, LBs.
- Experience in scripting languages such as Python, PHP, Typescript.
- Experience in observability for infrastructure, applications, and cloud services with tools such as Dynatrace, Datadog, PagerDuty, etc.
- Demonstratable experience in Infrastructure-as-a-Code frameworks and automation such as Terraform, AWS CDK, Cloud Formation, Ansible.
- Demonstratable experience with source-code repositories and CI/CD pipelines such as Gitlab, Github, Bitbucket, etc.
- Experience with industry compliance frameworks and participation in security audits – PCI, ISO, TDIF
