About the Role
Our client, a growing educational technology company is seeking a talented mid-level UI to contribute to the development of their children's reading platform. This ongoing project requires a creative individual who can design engaging and user-friendly interfaces for young learners. The ideal candidate will be available for more than a week and be willing to attend in-person meetings in Melbourne, Australia, for project briefings and check-ins.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the in-house UX designer to create intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces
- Design engaging graphics and visual elements tailored for children learning to read
- Ensure consistency in design across the platform
- Participate in regular project briefings and check-ins, some of which will be in-person in Melbourne
- Proven experience as a UI and Graphic Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing work for children or educational projects
- Proficiency in industry-standard design tools
- Familiarity with design styles similar to phonicshero, cleverbean, and Khan Academy
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, especially for young audiences
