The Design & Planning Specialist designs, analyses, plans, and modifies network components supporting customer communication implementation activities. Develops and evaluates network performance criteria and measurement methods. Prepares the analysis of the short or long-term capacity needs for switching, routing transmission, and signalling. Conducts network architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies. Develops alternative routing scenarios and changes in required sequence of network activities. Conducts economic and population growth studies to determine impact on network capacity and development plan projections. Performs the end-to-end design activities (including surveys, design itself, and as-built) required for a physical network deployment.

• Be required to complete RF coverage simulations, understand link budget & parameter optimisation, deliver NetAct KPI & field measurement analysis, support network performance troubleshooting with capability of completing detailed root cause studies for improving network performance.
• Have capability to troubleshoot complex radio technical issues and liaise with internal/external stakeholders to resolve problems arising in network performance.
Required Skills:
You have:
• Expert experience with 4G/5G Nokia parameters and features
• Expert experience in NetAct based KPI’s and counters with excellent understanding of measurements and triggers
• Expert experience in performing field measurement/drive test or crowd sourced data using real time and post processing tools.
It would be nice if you also had:
• High level of experience in performing RF Coverage simulations and link budgets using 9955 planning tool.
• Advanced experience in Nokia platform/tools MantaRay SON, NDE, NPAS.
• Experience in Enterprise projects including mining & rail.
• Experience in designing and optimisation of high reliability Railway projects including fully redundant networks, tunnel design and intelligent repeaters.
• Understanding of Future Railway Mobile Communications Systems (FRMCS)
