Bixie Colour is looking for a of Senior Stylist/Colourist for their new Surry Hills salon that is ready to set the bar incredibly high in the hair and beauty industry.
The business is in the heart of Sydney CBD, next to multiple channels of transport. This position is a fundamental part of our client’s operations and must have very strong experience in cutting hair, styling hair and colouring hair. This is a full-time position with annual remuneration between $70,000 - $80,000 plus superannuation.
As Senior Colourist / Stylist, your role encompasses the following responsibilities and duties:
• To keep up-to-date with the latest product innovations and trends in colour and technical services
• Excellent technical cutting skills for both men's and women cuts
• Exceptional colour skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Skilled in hair up’s (including wedding / bridal party hair)
• Attend the appropriate training and workshops to facilitate your knowledge
• To take appropriate images for social media
• To communicate with clients in a professional manner
• To maximise appointments for your working day
• Motivate and mentor junior team members• To ensure workstations are kept clean and tidy at all times
Requirements:
• Relevant qualification or a minimum of three years working experience as a hairdresser
• Must have very strong experience in cutting hair, styling hair and colouring hair.
• Experience cutting both men's and women's hair
• Excellent communicator with clients and colleagues
• Motivated and passionate about hair
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple clients at once, whilst keeping your cool
• Ensure all clients are given the highest level of service, with attention to comfort and friendliness
• Establish and maintain a regular clientele
• Recommend appropriate retail products at all times
• Comply with all health and safety procedures including all occupational health and safety policies and material safety data sheets
