On behalf of our client, L H Tiling & Co, we are advertising,
LH Tiling & Co is a family run company, started in October 2020 and
has seen a growth due to the demand of tilers in the construction industry. We are looking for a skilled Wall and Floor Tiler to join our team in Narrowmine on a full time basis and grow together with us.
Wall and floor tiling ranges from renovations to new houses including domestic and commercial kitchens, bathrooms, balconies and facades to industrial premises such as aquatic centres swimming pools, water features, shops hotels, factories and offices.
Tasks & Duties:
- Preparing wall and floor surfaces by removing old tiles, grout and adhesive, filling holes cracks and cleaning surfaces.
- Understanding colour and design concepts.
- Mixing applying and spreading various adhesives.
- Using tile cutter, tools to cut tiles and shape tiles needed for edging, corners and fittings.
- Assuring tiles are correctly aligned and spaced.
- Grouting, cleaning and waterproofing.
- Maintenance work such as cleaning removing and replacing cracked and damaged tiles.
- Laying ceramic, rectified porcelain clay natural stone on external and internal walls and floors and curved surfaces to provide protection and decorative finishes.
- May lay floor of granolithic, terrazzo or similar composition.
Skills & Experience:
- High attention to detail
- Able to work as team/ independently
- Be able to understand technical drawings and plans
- Cert III in Wall and Floor Tiling
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience
Salary from $73,150 per annum.
