Position Description
Due to increasing demand for our services in VIC, Kuga Electrical is seeking a Full-Time Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. We are looking for a professional with technical expertise and leadership qualities to support our projects and help us achieve our targets.
Job Duties:
· Offer your knowledge in electrical design for single projects as well as initiatives involving many disciplines.
· Drafting various electrical designs including work on solar/electrical system design for commercial, industrial and off-grid systems
· Conducting cable route selection, conduit scheduling, LV drop calculations, allocations, and note as per network service providers
· Evaluating various equipment required for projects and arranging them e.g., circuits, circuit-breakers, PVDB (Solar Distribution Boards), grid protection relay’s etc
· Creating, updating, and storing site electrical drawings for all work associated with the project
· Developing work breakdown structures and cost projections for the electrical and instrumentation components of a project
· Develop electrical system and/or equipment requirements, specify the test criteria and participate in system design and requirements reviews
· Develop possible solutions for electrical problems based on the requirements, including their optimization, and propose the solution during design and installation.
· Deliver the finest practices and results to customers while cutting down on expenses and saving time.
· Take the lead on engineering design projects ranging from small to medium scale and help withbigger projects.
· Maintain clear and effective lines of communication with all internal and external parties, including clients and authorities (colleagues, managers)
· Contribute to the growth of the business unit in relation to its strategic goals.
· Exhibit the passion necessary to work with the team that collaborates on design projects across several disciplines.
Skills & Experience
·Proficient in software’s like AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope
·Designing all solar commercial jobs using AutoCAD, PVsyst and customized spreadsheet (for DC & AC)
·Calculation of AC voltage rise, DC voltage drop, DC cable lengths and string calculations.
·A degree qualification of at least bachelor’s in engineering with a major in Electrical.
· At least 2 years of relevant experience in the relevant field.
· Strong verbal and written Communication Skills.
· Possess leadership qualities.
· Must have a passionate mindset with a solution-focused approach
